‘Tackling affordability’ as a democratic platform if the democrats win a majority in the midterms is not enough!! We want accountability for the crimes committed by this administration, for the disregard of cultural and political norms, for the many harms, including murder, perpetrated on people guilty of no crimes. The havoc these crazy individuals are wreaking on this country must be addressed, investigated, prosecuted. At the same time, we have to commit to strengthening our institutions, such as expanding the Supreme Court, to prevent the wealthiest individuals from getting the upper hand and this whole tail spin from continuing or happening again, as it surely will. They should have no more influence politically than the most humble of us. It will take years to address all the harms done. Tackling affordability as a platform is pathetically short sighted and ironically in denial of the larger problem. It will not move the American people. Jeffries and Schumer must go.
