Save OSHA and keep workers safe

To: Rep. Ezell, Sen. Hyde-Smith, Sen. Wicker

From: A constituent in Ocean Springs, MS

February 6

The Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) plays a vital role in protecting workers from occupational hazards and ensuring safe working conditions across various industries. Proposing the nullification of OSHA would undermine decades of progress made in safeguarding the health and well-being of millions of American workers. We urge you to reconsider this misguided proposition, as it would put countless lives at risk and jeopardize the fundamental rights of employees to a secure and hazard-free workplace. The repercussions of dismantling OSHA would be severe, potentially leading to increased workplace accidents, illnesses, and fatalities, as well as a substantial financial burden on businesses and taxpayers. Instead of weakening worker protections, we should be strengthening them to adapt to evolving workplace challenges and emerging risks.
