The debate last week was sickening. You were unable to defend your formidable record of accomplishments from your first term. I’m a lifelong Democrat who voted for you in 2020 and Hillary Clinton in 2016. I take you at your word that the future of our republic is at stake in this election. That is why I think you needs to do the right thing, step aside, and let someone else win the nomination of the party who can articulate a positive vision for the future and prosecute a coherent argument against Trump. President Biden, drop out of the race and allow an open convention to pick a strong and exciting candidate that can beat Trump in November.
