I am writing to raise a troubling concern about the presence of alleged law enforcement officers in unmarked vehicles and wearing face coverings at Dodger Stadium—a matter made more alarming by conflicting public statements from federal agencies.
On June 20th, the Los Angeles Dodgers stated that “ICE agents came to Dodger Stadium and requested permission to access the parking lots,” which the team denied. Hours later, the official ICE account responded, “False. We were never there.”
This presents two unacceptable possibilities:
1 Federal agents are operating covertly in public spaces without identification or accountability, contradicting their agency’s public statement.
2 Individuals impersonating federal law enforcement—possibly armed and masked—are attempting to access secure areas at major public venues.
Whether it’s federal deception or impersonation, public trust and safety are at risk.
This is not a partisan issue. It’s about institutional transparency. If masked individuals in tactical gear can claim to be law enforcement and gain access without oversight, how is the public supposed to distinguish real authority from rogue actors?
I urge you to:
• Demand a full investigation into the Dodger Stadium incident.
• Support legislation requiring federal and state law enforcement to be clearly marked and identifiable at all times in public operations.
• Clarify whether federal agents are allowed to obscure their identities during operations on civilian grounds in California.
We must not allow unidentified forces—whether legitimate or impostors—to act without accountability in our communities. According to ICE: they weren’t there. So who was?
