I just saw news from CNN that ten senate democrats are willing to cave on the shutdown, screwing 24 million Americans for a “promise” of a vote. I hope like hell that you are not one of those ten. Democrats just cleaned house in the midterms because you showed backbone, standing up to fascism and fighting for what’s right. To cave now, to a pack of proven liars for the “promise” of a future vote is beyond feckless; it is stupid. It would be a gross betrayal of American Democracy, to say nothing of your constituents who are counting on you to hold firm. Do not betray us. I’m begging you.
