Prohibit undue influence from presidential access cryptocurrency auctions
To: Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn, Rep. Self
From: A constituent in Princeton, TX
May 13
The decision to auction off access to the president through the purchase of a Trump family cryptocurrency raises serious concerns about foreign influence and corruption. Permitting individuals or entities from any nation to effectively buy face time with the president creates an unacceptable risk of policy decisions being swayed by monied interests rather than the national interest. This auction sets a dangerous precedent that undermines democratic principles and national sovereignty. Ultimately, the American people's trust in fair and impartial governance is jeopardized when access and influence can be purchased at auction. I urge you to take appropriate measures to prohibit this practice and safeguard the integrity of the presidency from such corrosive pay-to-play schemes.
