Why did the U.S. invade a foreign country and kidnap their elected official (and his wife)? What Trump just did to Maduro/Venezuela is against international law and a frightening precedent to set. Why aren’t you stepping up to retain Congress’ power to declare war? Why are you silent in the illegality of Trump’s actions? Yes, Maduro is a horrible person who treated his citizens horribly. My concern is that the U.S. government just acted like common gangsters, ignoring international law, invading another sovereign nation and treating a foreign leader like they are subject to American law. This is not OK.
