I am writing to urge you to take immediate action to investigate and hold accountable the Trump administration for what appears to be systematic corruption that threatens our democratic institutions and national security.
The evidence of corruption is extensive and well-documented. In 2025, the United Arab Emirates made a $2 billion stablecoin purchase in World Liberty Financial, Trump's personal crypto fund, representing the largest cryptocurrency transaction in history. In return, Trump permitted the UAE to import more U.S.-produced AI computer chips than allowed under the previous administration. Similarly, Trump permitted Nvidia to sell H200 chips to China, breaking with longstanding national security protocols, with 25% of revenues flowing to the United States. These transactions raise serious questions about whether foreign policy decisions are being made to benefit Trump's personal financial interests rather than American national security.
The pardon of Changpeng Zhao, the former Binance CEO who served prison time for money laundering violations, is equally troubling. This pardon allows Zhao to run the exchange again after enriching Trump's crypto fund, creating an obvious quid pro quo that undermines the integrity of our justice system.
Beyond financial corruption, the dismantling of the United States Agency for International Development has had catastrophic humanitarian consequences. A Boston University study found this action caused the deaths of 600,000 people, two-thirds of them children. Additionally, over 170 U.S. citizens have been detained by immigration agents at raids and protests, with 20 held for over a day without contacting loved ones or lawyers, representing a fundamental violation of constitutional rights.
I urge you to support comprehensive congressional investigations into these matters, including subpoena power to compel testimony and document production. The American people deserve accountability, transparency, and assurance that our government serves the public interest rather than private enrichment. Please inform me of the specific actions you will take to address this crisis of corruption.
