An Open Letter

To: Sen. Butler, Sen. Padilla, Rep. Lee

From: A verified voter in Alameda, CA

April 28

I am writing you today to urge you to fund the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) now.   Internet service is essential to full participation in today's world and the ACP has been successful in helping more than 23 million low-income Americans get online. But time is running out: the ACP will run out of funding in just two weeks.   This is a bipartisan and very popular program: a majority of voters (79%) support continuing the program, including 62% of Republicans and 78% of Independents.   If Congress doesn’t act soon, millions of Americans already on tight budgets will lose affordable internet access. We can’t let that happen.   I urge you and your colleagues to fund the ACP.   Thank you for your time.
