Support for Bipartisan Action on Paid Family Leave

To: Rep. Onder, Sen. Hawley, Sen. Schmitt

From: A constituent in Wentzville, MO

May 15

I’m writing to express my appreciation for the bipartisan effort led by Representatives Chrissy Houlahan and Stephanie Bice to expand paid family leave. It’s encouraging to see members of Congress from both sides of the aisle come together to tackle a real issue affecting hardworking families across the country. As someone who believes in the value of family, personal responsibility, and the dignity of work, I see paid family leave not as a handout, but as a commonsense policy that strengthens our communities. It helps parents stay in the workforce, reduces the strain on small businesses, and ensures that children and elders are cared for without pushing families to the brink. Too often, working people are forced to choose between their jobs and their loved ones. That’s not right. Supporting strong families means supporting policies like this—practical, targeted, and rooted in shared values. Please consider backing this initiative and encouraging more cooperation across the aisle. When Congress focuses on solutions instead of division, the American people win.
