Ceasefire and arms embargo now!
To: V.P. Harris
From: A constituent in Louisville, CO
August 20
The escalating violence in Gaza has resulted in tragic loss of civilian lives and immense suffering. As a matter of urgent humanitarian necessity, I implore you to call for an immediate ceasefire and the cessation of all hostilities in the region. Furthermore, an arms embargo on Israel should be implemented to prevent the further supply of weapons fueling this deadly conflict. The disproportionate military actions have devastated Gaza's civilian infrastructure and disrupted access to essential services like healthcare and clean water. Protecting innocent lives must take precedence over any military objectives. I urge you to advocate for de-escalation, diplomacy, and a lasting, just resolution to these recurring cycles of violence.
