Vote No on Todd Blanche's Confirmation as Attorney General
To: Sen. Kelly, Sen. Gallego
From: A constituent in Kearny, AZ
June 21
Vote no on Todd Blanche's confirmation as Attorney General. Blanche has spent his tenure at DOJ running personal vendettas for President Trump rather than serving the American people. That's not what the nation's top law enforcement officer is supposed to do, and the Senate should refuse to put its stamp of approval on it.
The record speaks for itself. His so-called Weaponization Working Group produced weak indictments against James Comey and New York AG Letitia James that courts threw out. He pursued a baseless investigation of Fed Chair Jerome Powell that collapsed under congressional pressure. Most egregiously, he engineered a $1.8 billion taxpayer-funded "Anti-Weaponization Fund" to pay supposed damages to Capitol rioters — a scheme so indefensible it had to be rescinded after backlash. Blanche can keep functioning as acting AG without a confirmation vote. There's no reason to reward this conduct with Senate confirmation.
