An Open Letter

To: Sen. Bennet, Rep. Neguse, Sen. Hickenlooper

From: A constituent in Boulder, CO

March 21

Please oppose ANY and ALL funding for this illegal war in Iran. Trump started it without Congressional approval, and without explaining to the American People: (1) a valid & believable reason for the war, (2) clearly defined ‘goals’, (3) an exit strategy. I lived through the Vietnam era, and I DO NOT want any ‘boots on the ground’ in the Middle East. American citizens do not want this war, and do not want to see the Middle East blown up and in chaos. We are seeing the human, moral, and financial costs of this horrible war. We cannot allow this to continue, and we cannot afford a continuation. We want healthcare, free or low-cost great schools, clean air & water, medical research, affordable food & housing, etc. Wasting the $16 billion this war has already cost is a crime when people are going hungry in this country and cannot afford medical/dental care. No way do I want $200 BILLION more going to this administration to kill even more innocent people and play ‘video games’ with our expensive artillery. ENOUGH! It needs to stop immediately. I’m asking you to: • Loudly call for an immediate end to this war.  • Advance War Powers Resolutions requiring congressional approval for continued hostilities. • Oppose ANY and ALL funding, including voting against any supplemental funding package for this war. • Demand full transparency and accountability from the administration. Thanks for all you do - America needs you to fight like hell right now. I need you to fight like hell. We’re up against a stupid, incompetent, mentally-unstable, gullible administration. Our country is more at risk every hour that goes by.
