Did We Do It? Are We Great Yet?

To: Rep. Onder, Sen. Hawley, Sen. Schmitt

From: A constituent in Columbia, MO

November 6

We the People cannot wait for the implosion of the Republican Party and this administration. As Trump’s shutdown drags into yet another week, millions of families are losing SNAP benefits, paychecks, and hope — while he hosts Gatsby-style parties for his millionaire friends. The man who promised “affordability” spends taxpayer money on White House renovations, luxury golf trips, and vanity projects, all while Americans skip meals. This isn’t leadership — it’s looting in broad daylight. He says inflation is gone. Prices are down. The economy is “booming.” Tell that to the parents staring at empty grocery carts. Tell that to the families waiting for food assistance that never came because the courts ordered him to act — and he refused. Affordability is not a slogan. It’s the difference between dignity and desperation, and this administration has chosen indifference. The Blue Wave Is Coming — and It’s Personal You’ve lied about everything — the economy, the courts, the “greatest victory,” the so-called “reforms.” You used hunger as leverage and shutdowns as a political weapon. And now you’re shocked that the country is rejecting you? Tuesday’s election was a warning shot, and the floodgates are about to open. Republicans are melting down, spinning, denying, blaming the press — anything but facing the truth. The people are done being gaslit. Done being told to be patient while billionaires hoard wealth and working Americans get crumbs. Done being told to “tighten their belts” while Trump’s friends pop champagne at Mar-a-Lago. From AOC to Mamdani, from governors who fight for their people to every voter who showed up for decency — this movement isn’t about “owning” anyone. It’s about reclaiming what’s ours: truth, accountability, and justice. So yes — the flood is coming. The Blue Wave is rising. And every single one of you who enabled this corruption, who excused these shutdowns, who stood by as children went hungry — you will rue the day you chose party over people.
