USAID provided Pennsylvania Farmers with price supports! With Elon Musk stopping USAID payments for farm purchases, how many Pennsylvania Farmers are not getting revenue that they planned for? With farm surpluses that will probably grow and most likely prices coming down on some produce, that might be a good thing in the short run, but the uncertainty and the hit to farmer's incomes over the long haul is not. We will lose family farms that will either be sold to developers taking arable land out of the food production inventory, or large corporations will buy out those farms and record, record profits at the expense of the common consumer. What are you going to do to protect food production and farmers in this state? The economy needs them and the people who are all food eaters, like you and me could suffer in the future. Or are short term goals more important to you?
