Please oppose cuts to wetland protections

I am asking that you, as a member of the House Natural Resources & Tourism committee, vote against the 5 bills on the April 22, 2026 agenda that substantially reduce protections for Michigan wetlands. I oppose any attempt to reduce wetland protection. I support the current wetland protections and I believe that wetland protections should be expanded, not reduced! I participate in the Michigan Natural Features Inventory as a volunteer researcher for vernal pools. Please help us protect Michigan wetlands from developers and industry expansion at the expense of Michigan's precious environmental resources. Please do not support any reduction in wetland protections included in HB5082, HB5501, HB5502, HB5536, and HB5556.
