This discriminatory policy from Congressman Johnson, targeting transgender individuals is reprehensible and contrary to basic human rights. Banning people from using restrooms aligned with their gender identity serves no legitimate purpose beyond perpetuating bigotry and making the Capitol a less welcoming place. As an elected representative, you should be fighting for the rights and dignity of all your coworkers. Sarah McBride's election as the first transgender member of Congress should be celebrated, not met with petty cruelty. I urge you to reject this hateful policy and use your position to promote equality, compassion, and respect for all. Discrimination has no place in the people's house. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, we look to you to be the bulwark in situations like these.
