An Open Letter

I’m deeply disturbed by the current Supreme Court’s recent decisions — the dramatic over turning of long established precedent; the declaring of partial presidential immunity. All of these acts are reminiscent of how the Nazi party rose to power in the Weimar Republic in the early 1930s. Everything done under the veil of authority, with the intent of dismantling the existing governmental authority. It’s not far fetched to think that we’re about to be faced with our first American Dictator; and it’s not far fetched to see a Congress and Supreme Court in the pocket of the same dictator. I’m very, deeply, concerned. I have no suggests about what might be done to take us off this path, but … it’s long past time for Congress to exert its authority. Minimally, change the composition of this court — that’s within your authority.
