Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas. Wow. What an election cycle we’re being forced to live through. Can’t tune out because it’s impossible to do. Can’t stay tuned in for long because mental health services in this country suck. So I’m just treating it all as a reality show that really needs to be canceled. Two assassination attempts on a presidential candidate. Thankfully unsuccessful because of the efforts of a Secret Service responsible for protecting someone who does not care how difficult he makes the job by refusing to curtail his golfing. Even Reagan apparently gave up public golfing when he realized what a strain it might be to protect him. But DJT instead uses it as yet another fundraising tool. Then we continue to hear both he and his acolyte JD Vance spread lies about immigrants. Vance should, as has been suggested, resign from the Senate. He is not doing his job for his state. He is deliberately, with intent, working against his state’s best interests. He is endangering lives in the state he is supposed to protect. And he does not care about the people he hurts by doing so. He has one goal. To be in line for the presidency if the oldest man to be elected to that office should drop dead. He is a danger to our country because he is a soulless, humorless, untruthful zealot who will say and do anything. Then we have the third rail of this creepy triad, Elon Musk, with his X posting “And no one is even trying to assassinate Biden/Kamala,” a post he later called a “joke.” What a laugh riot. Musk, who is slowly but surely consuming the means of world-wide communication, is apparently also a defense contractor who has $15 billion(!!!) in federal contracts. All while musing on the curious lack of assassination of the current president and vice-president. He then had the audacity to post “The incitement to hatred and violence against President Trump by the media and leading Democrats needs to stop.” The lack of self-awareness and plain old-school decency is absent in these guys who hope to rule the world. And just might. They are black holes of self-interest. They have no room for any other thoughts. And they think the American voter is stupid. So…as we read about hating Taylor Swift and buddying up with conspiracy nuts hoping to ride coattails into the oval office and current Senators and wanna-be presidents stoking hate and fear and division and endangering the very citizens they want to lead, voters who know better know the truth of the matter. This is all distraction. We know who is dividing the country. And why. We know who took away a woman’s right to their own bodies. We know who wants to demolish voting rights, equal rights, civil rights, voting rights and remake our society only for those self-ordained to have it all. We know, we see, we hear the actual dangers to democracy amongst us. We know about Project 2025. November is cancellation month.
