Keep the department of education

To: Sen. McCormick, Rep. Reschenthaler, Sen. Fetterman

From: A constituent in Acme, PA

January 15, 2025

The proposed bill to eliminate the Department of Education is misguided and would have severe negative consequences for our nation's education system. Education is a fundamental right and a key driver of economic growth, innovation, and social mobility. Abolishing the Department would undermine federal oversight, accountability, and funding for critical education programs that support students, teachers, and schools across the country. I urge you to oppose this legislation and instead work towards strengthening and improving educational opportunities for all Americans. Our children and future workforce deserve access to high-quality education that prepares them for success in an increasingly competitive global economy.
