I am writing to you today as a concerned constituent to urge you to support and vote "Yes" on articles of impeachment against Attorney General Pam Bondi. The Department of Justice (DOJ) is intended to be an independent arbiter of law, yet under Attorney General Bondi’s leadership, it has been transformed into a political tool that serves the personal interests of the Executive Branch rather than the American people. The erosion of the Department’s integrity is perhaps most visibly symbolized by the unprecedented installation of a giant banner of President Trump on the exterior of the DOJ headquarters. This display is a heartbreaking signal that the "People’s House of Justice" has been rebranded as a partisan office. It blurs the vital line between law enforcement and political loyalty, making the DOJ appear to be little more than a "lapdog" for the President. Beyond the optics, the substantive actions taken by the Department under Attorney General Bondi are deeply alarming: -- Political Weaponization: There is evidence that the DOJ is being used to target perceived political enemies and "rogue" judges, undermining the foundational principle of equal justice under the law. -- Obstruction of Inquiry: The Department has faced significant criticism for its handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, with allegations of illegal delays and excessive redactions that appear designed to shield wealthy and powerful individuals from public scrutiny. -- Executive Overreach: Attorney General Bondi has overseen the removal of career civil servants and prosecutors, replacing them with political loyalists who prioritize the President’s whims over constitutional mandates. Congress has a sworn duty to provide oversight and check executive overreach. When the head of the nation’s top law enforcement agency breaks the law or violates her oath to uphold the Constitution, impeachment is the only remaining remedy to restore the rule of law. I ask that you stand up for the independence of our judicial system and move to remove Pam Bondi from office. Our democracy depends on a Department of Justice that is loyal to the Constitution, not to a single man.
