I am once again writing to you asking you to support a congressperson for Speaker of the House who is committed to holding Trump and his administration accountable for the crimes they have committed and the federal offices they have gutted. Hakeem Jeffries is not only sharing messaging that sounds complacent and committed to cooperation with the Trump administration. He has said that impeachment is not a priority, and he has failed to meet the moment in a way that reflects the will of the American people. He has rejected Medicare for All as a priority as well. He met with Jared Kushner behind closed doors and has refused to be transparent about their conversation. He takes money from Anduril, Palantir, and crypto interests, which are all incompatible with a progressive agenda for our country. I would like you to throw your support to Rep Ayanna Pressley, who would not only be the first Black Speaker, but the first Black woman Speaker. Jeffries had his chance and squandered it and is not presenting an agenda for next year’s Congress that aligns with what the American people want right now, which is accountability for Trump, Vance, Hegseth, Rubio, Musk, Miller, and so many more.
