Thank you for your letter of December 13, regarding your support of Trump's actions in Venezuela. This morning, our military attacked Caracas and captured their President Maduro. Without authorization from Congress. The point of my letter in December regarding Venezuela was not about whether or not we should take action. It was about why the Trump administration has not consulted Congress to ask for authorization for military action, and required under Article 1, Section 8, Clause 11 of the Constutution: "[The Congress shall have Power . . . ] To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water; . . ." Since you have abdicated your Article 1 responsibilities to act on behalf of the people of Nebraska, I suggest you resign your position and move back to your hog operation.
