Vote no on this senate bill, it kills jobs and raises electricity prices

To: Sen. Fetterman, Sen. McCormick

From: A constituent in Murrysville, PA

June 28, 2025

Pragmatic energy policy for American competitiveness and security Vote no on the Senate Bill! This bill as written risks severely limiting America's ability to build new power generation through the end of the decade. We need that new power to support the data center, AI, and manufacturing booms all happening right now, including proposed projects in the Wilkes barre and Pittsburgh areas. Without solar and battery storage we’re going to face higher prices and greater risks of outages, or else these new factories and data centers will just move elsewhere. You’re going to kill jobs and raise prices for voters you need. If you must reduce the investment tax credits over time then at least go back to the previous senate draft, which contained pragmatic measures to safeguard existing energy infrastructure investments and ensure a steady electricity supply for homes and businesses during the transition period.
