I am a constituent and I urge you to protect the Boundary Waters and vote no on Joint Resolution 140. Using the Congressional Review Act to strip protections for the Boundary Waters watershed creates a dangerous precedent for public lands across the country. This action doesn’t protect national security instead it benefits international corporations. If approved, a Chilean-owned mining company will strip our natural resources only to ship them to China for processing. This is not America first nor is it good for Americans. We want unspoiled wilderness protected not exploited. Please have the leadership to protect America’s public land agencies, our foundational environmental laws like the Clean Water Act, and our wild public lands for future generations.
