I oppose SB2 (school vouchers) and urge all legislators to vote against it. Rural and poor school districts will be gutted by SB2. I live in a highly-rated school district in an area with plenty of private school options, but not all children in Texas are that fortunate. As a voter, I support all education funding measures because I believe education is a priority for us all. Public education is one of the great ideas supported by America’s founding fathers. If Texas wants to continue to be a hotspot for corporations (especially tech companies), we have to have well-educated children. Texas is already at a disadvantage because of years of funding cuts to education programs. SB2 makes things worse. Do not support SB2.
