I am writing as a constituent, and I am not going to soften this.
A president threatening to wipe out an entire civilization is not “strong leadership.” It is dangerous, reckless, and completely unacceptable. Backing down after the fact does not deserve praise. It does not erase what was said. It does not make anyone safer.
Every hour this kind of leadership goes unchecked puts lives at risk. It destabilizes the world, escalates tensions, and drags the United States closer to another war that Congress has not authorized.
Let me be clear: you do not get to claim to support freedom, human rights, or “liberation” while staying silent when mass violence is openly threatened. You do not get to claim to be the party of law and order while ignoring a president who is willing to bypass Congress and push us toward war anyway.
Congress never approved this. And yet, where is the accountability?
At the same time, billions of taxpayer dollars continue to be funneled into war and destruction while Americans are struggling to afford healthcare, education, childcare, and even food. That is a failure of priorities, and people see it.
Silence from Congress is not neutrality. It is complicity.
The world is watching. Your constituents are watching. And your response, or lack of one, matters.
I am demanding that you:
• Publicly and unequivocally oppose any unauthorized military action against Iran
• Reassert Congress’s constitutional authority over war powers immediately
• Condemn rhetoric that promotes mass violence or escalates global conflict
• Stop supporting funding that prioritizes destruction over the well-being of Americans
Do not wait for this to escalate further. Do not pretend this is normal.
Act now.
