Why is this Republican administration fighting to keep the Epstein files secret?

To: Rep. Van Duyne, Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn

From: A constituent in Dallas, TX

March 12

I am writing again to clarify how this Republican administration’s costly, illegal war in Iran will not distract the American people from the Jeffrey Epstein child prostitution files. Why is this administration fighting so hard to keep the Epstein files secret? In other countries, business leaders, politicians and royalty are being held accountable for their actions as revealed in those files. With those revelations coming to light, it is only a matter of time before details from those investigations find their way to the U.S. media. Would it not be better for this administration to proactively release the files to better control the narrative? Or for Congress t do so? It is past time for Republicans in Congress to stop protecting this Republican administration in this matter. To not demand the files’ release makes congressional Republicans look complicit, at best, and willing supporters at worst. No amount of war, distractions, chaos, and disruptions this administration causes will make the Epstein files go away, nor will they make us forget them. My wife and I urge you and your colleagues demand the immediate release of all the Epstein child sex-trafficking files.
