I read a report that Senate Democrats are considering approving funding for ICE in the four-bill DHS "minibus" if the funding includes body cams and de-escalation training for agents. I am sorry but this is absolutely weak-willed and pathetic. Based on the murder of Renee Good and the further ICE-instigated violence in Minneapolis over the last week, more training will not solve the problems we are currently seeing. ICE agents have training, they simply would rather ignore and hurt American citizens. The only acceptable way to increase ICE funding is with two conditions: 1. All ICE agents currently deployed in American cities are recalled 2. The power to deploy ICE agents is removed from the President and Sec. Noem in favor of Congressional commission. These thugs have zero oversight. Funding is not the problem: their leadership is.
