I urge you to oppose all anti-LGBTQ+ attacks in the federal budget proposals. Attempts to roll back protections or defund critical programs that support LGBTQ+ people and their families are unacceptable. LGBTQ+ Americans deserve to live free from discrimination and have equal access to important government services. Proposed cuts or restrictions targeting this community based on who they are is unconstitutional and violates core American values of equality and freedom. Stand firm against any provisions that undermine the rights, dignity and well-being of your LGBTQ+ constituents. A society that embraces diversity and protects all its citizens is a stronger, more just nation.
