An Open Letter

To: Sen. Schiff, Sen. Padilla, Rep. Carbajal

From: A verified voter in Santa Maria, CA

June 19

Dear Honorable Senators Padilla & Schiff and Representative Carbajal: It has come to my attention and many many others of the disastrous reconciliation bill of Trump's disastrous budget bill. In this bill there is a MASSIVE amendment to sell off public lands in or near our National Parks, Monuments, forests and BLM land. This is not only disastrous to the environment but financially disastrous to all the communities these lands serve. This is nothing but a evil greedy land grab by the oligarchs and their corporations. This must not pass. We beg you to vote NO and hopefully have the incentive to work with others on stopping this bill or at least having the public land for sale dropped from the bill. The great Teddy Roosevelt saw these same pressures coming from the same type of people in his day and knew what to do. We hope you all can do the same thing for all of us in this country. These parks lands and forests that we all love are our National Heritage and these short sighted greedy politicians punching this agenda are not representing the peoples desire to save them. Thank you for your time.
