approve recreational marijuana.

I read the article in today's Clarion News and your comments about legal marijuana. One of your concerns was that it would "have" to be sold in state stores - and this is a bad idea because the state is already losing money on the state stores.
A couple of questions arise:
1. HOW on earth can the state be losing money on state stores? Every grocery store and gas station in the Commonwealth is selling alcohol at a profit.
2. Why would it "have" to be sold in state stores? There is already a chain of state-registered dispensaries selling medical marijuana across the state. The closest one is in Brookville. (An application was filed to set one up in Clarion, but it was denied.) FWIW - EVERY state surrounding us is selling recreational marijuana in a tax-revenue-positive manner. It's the same product - people would just no longer have to just through hoops to get a special card from the Department of Health to be able to purchase it.
