What exactly is the rationale for this war? There have been at least 10 rationales stated by this administration for this war as reported by The Atlantic. And this was in the first week of Trump’s war. Rationale No. 1: the imminent threat. Rationale No. 2: no nuclear weapons. Rationale No. 3: halt the militias, so proxies can no longer destabilize the region. Rationale No. 4: regime change (and president was to approve new leader). Rationale No. 5: election interference, Iran tried to interfere in 2020, 2024. Rationale No. 6: world peace, remember this quote “PEACE THROUGHOUT THE MIDDLE EAST AND, INDEED, THE WORLD!” Rationale No. 7: for the grandkids, look up that quote. Rationale No. 8: preemptive hit, “I got him first,”. Rationale No. 9: fulfill God’s purpose. Rationale No. 10: The Israelis made me do it NONE of these include the Strait of Hormuz or Kharg Island. So please explain to me in clear terms what exactly is the rationale, what are the objectives of this war you chose to start? I expect an answer – not subjective mushy phrases like “showing strength” or “wielding military power and influence” – those are NOT objectives. I want to know exactly what the military is assigned to do.
