I am writing to urge you to support impeachment proceedings against Attorney General Pam Bondi for her failure to comply with the Epstein Files Transparency Act and her obstruction of congressional oversight. The Justice Department missed the legally mandated deadline to release documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. When documents were finally released, they contained excessive redactions and missing information that prevent meaningful public transparency. Representatives Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie, who co-sponsored the bipartisan Epstein Files Transparency Act, have characterized this as noncompliance with statutory requirements. The situation worsened when the Justice Department removed photographs from the Epstein Library on Saturday, including at least one showing President Trump, only to re-upload them after public scrutiny. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche's dismissive response to congressional contempt threats, stating "Not even a little bit. Bring it on," demonstrates a troubling disregard for legislative authority and constitutional checks and balances. A 119-page transcript of grand jury proceedings involving Ghislaine Maxwell was initially released entirely redacted, suggesting the Justice Department is prioritizing political protection over transparency. While victim protection is important, the pattern of behavior indicates the department is using this justification to shield powerful individuals from accountability. Senator Rand Paul correctly noted that releasing all information would avoid prolonged controversy. The American people deserve to know the full extent of Epstein's criminal network and any involvement by public officials. When an Attorney General obstructs a bipartisan transparency law and shows contempt for congressional oversight, impeachment is the appropriate constitutional remedy. I urge you to support articles of impeachment against Attorney General Bondi and to use all available congressional powers, including inherent contempt, to compel full compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act. The integrity of our justice system depends on accountability at the highest levels.
