It’s starting to look like even the Republican Congress smells something rotten in Denmark. They’re asking the same questions we all are about his Supporter Pay Off Scheme. Why is he doing this? And it seems to be becoming clear likely why. Immunity for himself, his family, his businesses, his associates from past, current, and future IRS investigation of any financial fraud. What’s $1.776B with a B of our money compared to the untold amounts saved by this get-out-of-jail-free card added at the last minute to this dirty deal. Distract us with the thought of giving our money to convicted felons, insurrectionists, and cop-beaters while they acquire a golden immunity from the government he leads. Sweet. Contrary to acting-AG Blanche’s take that the American people want their money spent on reparations for convicted criminals, and that there is no reason for outrage since nothing’s even happening yet, is both condescending and untrue. We DO NOT want our money spent like that. And there are already people lining up to submit claims of injustice. They’ve been waiting for Trump to deliver on this promise all along. So let’s review… $1.7B slush fund, i.e. loyalty gifts. The promise of immunity over Trump’s tax crimes. $1B Trump is demanding for his ballroom. Obvious insider trading coming from the Oval. Trump’s unpopular and illegal war on Iran. The administration’s increasing threats against Cuba and Greenland. And ever-dramatically increasing prices on most everything. No wonder y’all left early for your Memorial Day vacay. And good luck explaining to your constituents why every single one of the things listed above are for our own good. And we just need to stop whining. Or as one Republican senator put it: “Our majority is melting down before our eyes.” Still think Trump knows what he’s doing? Oh he absolutely does. Just not in the way that’s going to keep you your jobs. But is going to be hunky-dory for him and his. Start believing what you’re actually seeing.
