As someone who grew up and lives in Illinois, I demand that you must open an investigation into the murder of Silverio Villegas Gonzales. On September 12, 2025, 38-year-old Silverio Villegas González was shot and killed by an unnamed ICE agent in Cook County, the same county where I live. If you believe that we live in a nation of law, then you must press charges against and arrest the ICE agents responsible for killing one of our neighbors.
