Voting by mail allows millions of eligible Americans the ability to exercise their right to vote.
Mail-in voting gives more Americans the ability to cast a ballot safely, conveniently, and on their own terms. From military families stationed overseas, seniors in assisted living facilities, parents working two jobs, voters in rural counties hours from the nearest polling place, or people who lead busy lives and aren't able to stand in line for hours to vote on Election Day. Mail-in voting isn't a convenience, for many it's their only realistic option.
Now, with the 2026 elections approaching, that option must be protected.
We demand that Congress:
◦ Guarantee the right to vote by mail for all eligible Americans, regardless of which state they live in.
◦ Establish clear, consistent national rules so voters aren't penalized and disenfranchised.
◦ Protect the U.S. Postal Service's capacity to process election mail reliably and on time.
◦ End politically motivated restrictions designed to make voting harder, not safer.
The window to protect the 2026 elections is closing. We urge you to act with urgency, with courage, and with the voters not the powerful in mind. Please remember elections are under state jurisdiction. Any action against is hypocritical to the principles of a decentralized government.
Thank you for your time. Though I highly doubt you’ll read this.
