Ohio made the news in 2024 for receiving over a billion dollars in funding from NIH. That billion generated over $2.5 billion for the Ohio economy. And yet, one year after that, you are doing nothing to protect federal funding for medical research. You are letting NIH be hamstrung, letting the funds you appropriated for heart disease, cancer, stroke, suicide prevention, all go to waste and not be spent. We will not forget how you skewered the Ohio economy. We will not forget how you cut the ability for the flagship OSU to continue being a research hub. We will be at your town halls, asking what you are doing for the future of our health and the future of this state's development and research into better treatments we and our families and friends need. Others in your party are pushing back, understand the depth and impact of what the administration is doing to NIH -- you need to join with them. Restore NIH funding and make America great again, in truth.
