Go to work or move aside for someone willing. We don’t support tantrums, so if you are too good to talk to other representatives on behalf of your constituents, assemble to swear-in a duly elected member of the House, and do the bear minimum of showing up, then find some other line of work. You are not entitled to represent this district. You have the privilege to represent it, and that privilege can be taken away. It cannot be so important to starve children and price families out of healthcare that you cannot bear to end this undeserved vacation. Speaker Johnson was lying through his teeth when he said that Republican members are doing some of the most important work of their careers right now. You are exemplifying cowardice and stubbornness for truly evil ends. Have you sat with this? Prayed on this? Does it concern you at all? Do better. Do something.
