I think you know, deep in your heart, that if a democratic president had turned the white house lawn into a car dealership, and was issuing a sales pitch poorly disguised as a press statement, you wouldn't stop criticizing them. If Obama had violated the law (the Hatch Act), the way trump did, you'd be screaming for his impeachment. Hell, many in the GOP were calling for his impeachment because he wore a tan suit. If he had been selling cars on the south lawn, your heads would explode like in the movie, "Scanners." .....And you know what? You'd be right to be enraged about such an unprofessional and disgraceful display. In fact, because I'm not a hypocrite, I'd join you in calling out such a vulgar performance by the President of the United States. So why, now that it's your guy, are you silent? Why are you okay with Musk corrupting the presidency for his own selfish business ends? Are you enamored by the MAGA cult? Are you just afraid of his rabid supporters? Are you just hypocrites? Or have you sold your souls to these two men? The way so many people appear to be selling their integrity, their beliefs, their morals, their very souls to him makes me think if we peeled away the resin encased hair and inspected his bald pate we'd find three tiny numbers there: 666. So many cult members pretend he's God's emissary, but he far better fits the descriptions of the anti-christ. I don't actually believe any of that "end times" mumbo jumbo, but you do. So ask yourself honestly, "Is trump even remotely Christian?" In a world where men pretending to preach the word of God are now insanely ranting against what they are calling, "the sin of empathy," you dammed well should be questioning what you're seeing around you. If there's any one thing your Jesus ordered you to do, it was to show empathy to everyone. I think you know what's happening is wrong. The fact that not speaking out says a lot about you. The car sales is a small thing in the big picture. Ignoring court orders, harming veterans, cutting life saving Medicaid to people who can't take care of themselves are more important; but it perfectly represents what's happening. I have no doubt that your grandchildren are watching. They can feel cognitive dissonance. They can see that something just doesn't feel right. It's not too late to do the right thing and show them what integrity looks like.
