If we are protecting people's right to choose, why are we continuing to criminalize sex work? Is there a reason we are ignoring the risk criminalization puts sex workers in, or how it makes sex workers vulnerable to sex trafficking? If California is trying to protect people's bodily autonomy it is absolutely absurd to police who they have sex with. Why is that any of the government's business in the first place? It's an absolute waste of police, court, jail, and prison resources as well. Let's not just legalize, but decriminalize sex work.
