Stand firm against any legislation that would ban transgender students from school sports. The Supreme Court's June 2026 ruling did not mandate bans nationwide — it explicitly left these decisions to states and legislatures. That means every state has the legal right to keep inclusive policies in place, and I expect you to defend that right.
The actual scale of this issue is tiny. Washington state has fewer than 10 transgender athletes among 250,000 student-athletes. Mississippi found zero trans students in sports in a 2023 survey. Outside groups are manufacturing a crisis to justify targeting kids who simply want to play. Transgender students deserve the same dignity and belonging that sports provide every other kid.
Reject any state-level legislation that bans transgender athletes and push back on federal pressure targeting schools and athletic associations. Don't let political opportunism from outside groups dictate how we treat our own students.
