As one of your constituents I'm running to express a deep and growing concern about the direction of our country. Specifically I'm alarmed by the increase in signs of authoritarian or neofascist tendencies within our political landscape - rhetoric and actions that undermine Democratic institutions encourage political violence he wrote the rule of law. I have one direct question for you: "What specifically have you done this week to safeguard or democracy and prevent the rise of authoritarianism under Donald Trump?". I ask this question as a citizen who values the United States Constitution, civil liberties, and checks and balances. Unfortunately, the Republicans in Congress are too scared to stand up for the Constitution because doing so would require the GOP to remove the President and Vice President from office. I warned you all for years about Trump and no one has done anything to protect us from his dictator desires. I am heartbroken and very disappointed with your inaction.
