Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designations are actively expiring, putting hundreds of thousands of long-term residents—who registered with the government, passed background checks, and pay taxes—at risk of losing their legal status. Following recent Supreme Court and appellate rulings limiting judicial review and expanding removal threats against DACA recipients, Congress is now the sole remaining authority capable of providing legal stability. The American Dream and Promise Act offers a permanent, earned solution: - For Dreamers: An earned pathway to lawful permanent residence and citizenship for individuals brought to the U.S. as children. - For TPS and DED Holders: Permanent legal status for long-term community members, protecting families from being uprooted by administrative changes. Every day this decision stays stalled is another day Congress abdicates its authority to executive decrees and court rulings. I urge you to use your voice, vote, and procedural power to break through the gridlock, advance the American Dream and Promise Act, and ensure this legislation receives the floor vote it deserves.
