I am writing to demand that you support Congressman Al Green’s H.Res. 1486 to impeach President Donald J. Trump for high crimes and misdemeanors. Enough is enough. The Constitution is not a suggestion, and the presidency is not a personal dictatorship. No president has the right to abuse the powers of his office, disregard constitutional protections, undermine the independence of the judiciary, or treat federal law enforcement as an instrument of political power. If the allegations outlined in H.Res. 1486 are not worthy of congressional investigation and accountability, then what exactly would be? Congress has a constitutional duty to act—not hide behind partisan politics, political calculations, or fear of political consequences. Your responsibility is to the Constitution and the American people, not to any individual president. I strongly urge you to support H.Res. 1486, demand a thorough investigation, and hold President Trump accountable. History is watching. Your vote will matter.
