I am writing to you as a constituent who is deeply concerned about the current state of executive leadership and its impact on our country.
I have previously signed petitions urging consideration of the Twenty-Fifth Amendment, but I feel compelled to reach out personally. Day after day, I read headlines that suggest instability, impulsiveness, and a disregard for the responsibilities of the office. Regardless of party affiliation, I believe Americans deserve leadership that is steady, credible, and capable of meeting the gravity of the role.
The Twenty-Fifth Amendment exists for moments when serious questions arise about a president’s ability to fulfill the duties of the office. I urge you to take those questions seriously and to prioritize the well-being of the nation over political calculation. This is not about partisan advantage; it is about safeguarding democratic institutions and public trust.
I ask that you support any good-faith efforts to evaluate whether invocation of the Twenty-Fifth Amendment is warranted and to speak honestly with your colleagues and constituents about these concerns.
Thank you for your time and for your service. I hope you will act with courage and responsibility during this critical moment.
