Donald Trump wrote the following on his platform, Truth Social: “He who saves his Country does not violate any Law”. This is a terrifying statement for the Commander in Chief to make. With this statement, Donald Trump is already setting the stage to put his orders above the rule of law. He is setting the stage to put his orders above OUR CONSTITUTION. Many of his actions have already undermined our checks and balances, our democratic values, and the rule of law. He has illegally dismantled agencies in our federal government. He pardoned the rioters who attacked our capital on January 6th 2021. He has already indicated that he is willing to ignore judicial orders that go against him. And he has signed numerous executive orders that aim to single out and discriminate against marginalized groups. Please do everything you can to fight against Donald Trump’s agenda. Call for impeachment. Obstruct his agenda and take lessons from Mitch McConnell from when he was minority leader. Be aggressively and vocally against Donald Trump and bring attention to how he is trying to undermine the rule of law. Start working on 2026 elections to elevate other Democrats and get at least one chamber of Congress back. Tell the public what we can do to help. This is not politics as usual. We need you to fight for the future of our country.
