An Open Letter

To: Sen. Boozman, Sen. Cotton, Rep. Womack

From: A constituent in Fayetteville, AR

June 10

I have reached out many times via phone and email and have yet to get some simple questions answered by my representative and senators in Congress. It is very frustrating and disrespectful to your constituents that you can not or will not answer simple questions concerning important issues affecting our country. This is an attempt to get a response from you. Please answer these simple questions. Arkansans have a right to know what you think. Please circle your answers and justify your reasons. 1. In general, are you alright with the obvious corruption of the Trump white house? Yes No If you think there is no corruption, please elaborate. Specifically: a. Are you alright with taking a 400 million dollars from Qatar, a known sponsor of terrorism? Yes No If yes, please explain how this is not a bribe and how it makes America great. Why can't we build our own plane if the goal is to bring manufacturing back to the USA? Please elaborate. b. Do you believe that Trumps crypto dinner was a means to buy influence with the president? Yes No If no, please explain why it is not. Multiple attendees were from foreign countries. Some attendees were from the CCP (Chinese Communist Party), some hid their identity. Elaborate why we should not have concern for this. How did this event make America great again? c. Was Trump’s million-dollar dinner at Mar-a-Lago pay for influence event? Yes No If no, please explain. d. We keep hearing that bill will only cut waste and fraud from Medicare and Medicaid. If that is truly the intention of republicans, why does Trump pardoned people who were convicted of this very fraud. Two prime examples of this are Philip Estiforms and Lawrence Duran. There are many others. Please explain why this is not corruption. 2.Tax payers are sick of our tax dollars being wasted by Trump. Two prime examples are the soviet style parade for the “army” on Trumps birthday and the outrageous amount of money spent on Trump golf courses. a. The soviet style parade is expected to cost about 45 million dollars. This could pay for a year of disability payments for 7,900 veterans. The average national salary for VA nurses is estimated to be 65,000 to 100,000 dollars. The mid-point in that range is 82,000 dollars. We could hire 550 nurses for a full year to care for our veterans. Please explain why we are putting the president’s desire for this soviet style parade above the needs of the men and women who have served our country. Do you think our veterans are suckers and losers? Yes No. If your answer is no, please explain why we are spending 45 million dollars on a vanity parade, modeled after North Korea, while cutting funding for the VA. Please respond with answers! Yes or no, and why you support or do not support these things. These items seem to be the tip of the iceberg in the corruption of the republican party. It is a shame that I believed in the party at one time, now it’s a hollow shell devoid of any integrity.
