I’m writing to express urgent concern over President Trump’s ongoing abuses of power, many of which raise serious constitutional red flags. These include: Proposals to deport U.S. citizens and fast-track removals without due process, violating the 14th Amendment and judicial authority. Retaliation against law firms representing political opponents, undermining First Amendment and legal protections. An executive order to end birthright citizenship, already blocked as unconstitutional by multiple courts. Federal interference in state-run elections, in violation of the Elections Clause. Blatant defiance of court orders, especially around immigration enforcement. Market manipulation and potential insider trading, surrounding tariff announcements. Withholding university funds and attacking academic freedom for political gain. Media coercion, including threats to revoke licenses and backdoor deals for favorable coverage. Commercial promotion from the White House lawn, violating ethical norms and public trust. Any past president doing even half of this would already face impeachment — and rightly so. The fact that Congress has not yet acted is deeply troubling.I urge you to defend the Constitution and begin accountability proceedings now, starting with the introduction of articles of impeachment. Silence is complicity.
