Say NO to this Republican administration’s vanity projects

To: Sen. Cruz, Rep. Van Duyne, Sen. Cornyn

From: A constituent in Dallas, TX

July 3

I am writing to urge you and your colleagues in Congress to block any and all funding for this Republican administration’s ridiculous vanity projects around our nation’s capitol. The White House’s East Wing is demolished. The Lincoln Reflecting Pool is a toxic swamp. The South Lawn is dead. A giant arch is planned. Now there is a proposal to cut down century-old cherry trees to expand a golf course. None of those things are needed, and certainly shouldn’t be paid for with American taxpayer money. This is especially true given the number of Americans struggling to pay for food, gasoline and medicine. This administration’s spending is out of control, but Congress has the ability to stop this needless waste. Do you and your colleagues have the will? Or do you approve of these vanity projects, even while Americans are financially struggling? My wife and I urge you to demand an end to this squandering of taxpayer money by defunding and publicly opposing these ridiculous projects.
